You read that right, PUBG Mobile’s latest crossover game is baby shark. The song (and the accompanying dance, of course) has been a hit with kids since it emerged from the Abyss in 2016, and has since spread its tendrils across the internet with several follow-up songs, animations, and a collaboration with Battle Royale!
For your viewing pleasure, we’ve embedded the video below, where four different PUBG characters go on an underwater adventure looking for a red drop box – usually full of guns – only to find a baby shark with an underwater fried chicken in his hand. This is a trip.
This crossover isn’t just a short video and some laughs, there’s a big Baby Shark event going on right now in PUBG Mobile, and it’s bringing players a bunch of themed cosmetic items and challenges to complete.
While this may initially seem like an unlikely crossover, this isn’t the first time Baby Shark and PUBG have held a co-op event! As early as October 2021, PUBG Mobile players can launch the game to watch a similar month-long event. Armed with this knowledge, we can only assume that Baby Shark’s co-op is a huge hit among mobile battle royale fans.
The elephant in the room is, of course, a conflict between the kid-friendly Baby Shark aesthetic and the understanding that PUBG is an astonishing game. Baby sharks are either unknowingly sabotaging the action with bloodthirsty killers in blissful ignorance, or they know very well that their golden fried chicken plate was bought with blood.
Putting that thought aside, you can now join and earn rewards from the Baby Shark crossover in PUBG Mobile! For those who aren’t keen on earning chicken dinners on the go, the PC version of the game has been free since early 2022, so there’s nothing stopping you from rejoining.
