PUBG may no longer be the spokesperson for the Battle Royale, but it has performed very well.

Market analyst Superdata released a report on the state of the digital gaming market in January. Spending on consoles for free and premium games declined in January.

Compared with the same period of last year, the revenue of free games on consoles decreased by 42%, which was mainly the result of the decline in Fortnite revenue. Compared to 2019, the lack of large new games in January also led to a 19% decline in the high-end segment of the console.

However, the more instructive results came from the Royal Battle Royale type. Super data shows that Fortnite's revenue has continued to decline and has now reached its lowest level since November 2017.

In January, with the launch of the Grand Soiree event, Apex Legends saw a 12% increase in active game console users, but the game had less revenue compared to December.

PUBG is the only winner of the three. Compared with December, the 6th quarter on the PC was launched in January, and spending increased significantly by 512%, which indicates that the platform will have lower spending for a period of time.

Despite this, veteran players and ribbons are still not optimistic about the game, and one of the biggest ribbons in the game decided to take a break and reached Twitch's figure.
