The next one please: QuakeCon will not be canceled this year either, but due to the pandemic it will only be held in digital form. Details have now been confirmed.
Despite Corona, Bethesda will hold QuakeCon again in 2021, but not in the usual format in Dallas, USA. Instead, because of the pandemic, like many other companies in the industry, they are relying on a purely digital format.
The digital QuakeCon 2021 is therefore to take place for the second year in a row in this form from August 19 to 21, 2021. The corresponding announcement states: “We can’t wait to return to Dallas with our QuakeCon family, but for the continued safety of our employees, volunteers and the community, this year’s QuakeCon will once again be a purely digital event.”
Details on the game line-up and all events in the context of the event will be announced at a later date. In the past few years, QuakeCon was no longer just an event for the id Software brands, but m ore or less advanced to a second E3 event for Bethesda. So it is quite possible that August this year will have fresh information ready for example about The Elder Scrolls VI or Starfield.
