This year’s QuakeCon will not be held at the usual location in Dallas.
Bethesda announced for the second year in a row, Thor’s Hammer, The celebration of its ID software and its games will be held completely online this year.
Although the company adopted the QuakeCon at Home slogan last year, Bethesda abandoned the standard this year in order to achieve a more standard brand promotion. QuakeCon 2021 will be held from August 19th to 21st.
“We can’t wait to return to Dallas with the QuakeCon family, but for the continued safety of our employees, volunteers and community, this year’s QuakeCon will once again become a digital-only event,” the official QuakeCon Twitter account said today.
Detailed information about the game lineup and all other performances will be announced in the future.

In recent years, QuakeCon’s events have grown to include more events than id Software’s games. The show essentially became Bethesda’s second E3, and the company took the opportunity to showcase the contents of Elder Scrolls Online and Fallout 76, and even shared news about the Arkane game.
With Bethesda now officially becoming a Microsoft subsidiary, the fate of QuakeCon and other such internal programs is unclear. However, what role the classic performance plays in Bethesda’s future remains a mystery.
