Aspyr and Lucasfilm surprised us just a few days ago with the excellent news that Star Wars Episode I: Racer was going to come back to life with a console version that was going to launch in Nintendo Switch and PS4. However, the one that will reach the Sony console will be a little more begged after having confirmed its delay.
Those responsible for this port have announced that the game will not go on sale finally on May 12, although it will not go too far. The new date that has been chosen for publication is only a couple of weeks later and therefore will arrive on May 26.
Aspyr has offered no reason for this sudden change. Instead, Nintendo Switch users can rest easy because nothing of this will affect them, so that in a couple of weeks they will be able to get on their pods and participate in these fast-paced races at full speed that will take place in more than 20 circuits spread over eight different planets.
This pair of new adaptations of Star Wars Episode I: Racer will feature a control system that has been modernized, with the possibility of playing with a single Joy-Con on Switch, in addition to a resolution improvement, which in the case of PS4 can be seen in 4K to make it look more spectacular than ever.
