Ares Ragnarok It performed well in the UK and was destined to be the best-selling entry in the series.
Released three days ago on November 9, the first day of sales for the 2018 God of War sequel has already surpassed the previous launch week.
That’s according to UK charts firm GfK, telling GI.biz that the first cross-generation game in the series will top the charts and that the game has had an impact on PS5 sales as well. According to the company, 55 percent of PS5 console sales this week were part of the God of War hardware bundle.
In terms of first-week sales, the last best-selling game in the series was God of War (2018), and ultimately lifetime sales. In the year of its release, the game ranked fifth in terms of unit sales and revenue in the Sony format.
In the US, the game is predicted to be the biggest exclusive debut on PS4. After its release, it not only topped the NPD charts in April 2018, but it also had the highest release month for PlayStation exclusives in the region in terms of dollar sales.
We’ll know how Ragnarok fared soon, as GfK will release its latest sales figures next week, while NPD will share its November figures in December.
