Rainbow Six: Siege promised some major changes to metadata in its sixth year.
Ubisoft outlines a series of gameplay changes Rainbow Six: Siege Year 6 will start with Crimson Heist next month.
One of the larger changes discussed in the developer panel is that dead players can control the camera and gadgets during the support phase. Ubisoft stated that this will “strengthen” this stage so that dead players can still help their teammates. The new feature will be launched later in the sixth year.
Another major gameplay change (which will also be released later this year) is to allow attackers to change their operators and load times at will during the preparation phase. Ubisoft hopes that this change will open up new tactical possibilities for attackers.
The armor system is also being overhauled. At some point in the sixth grade, the armor will simply be converted to raw HP. In other words, you will no longer see the armor value and health value, but will only see a unified number that takes both armor and health into account.
In addition to these gameplay updates, the sixth grade will also see the public release of the player behavior tool, which has been shadow tested in the past. This tool allows the game to track player behavior, encourage players to do good by rewarding items in the game, and punish toxic behavior. Some of these sanctions include being temporarily banned from entering the rankings.
When it launches, players will be able to track their scores and understand what they can do to improve their behavior.
The long-awaited ship model is also planned to be released in the sixth year. This powerful new tool allows streamers and content creators to hide their names and the names of their teammates/ opponents, as well as hide the area and pings of each game they participate in. Streaming media can also turn on baking docking delay to reduce streaming media clipping.
They can even set the clearance level and profile image to private, which makes it harder for bad actors to identify them. The streaming mode will arrive with Crimson Heist on the test server later today.
The developer also revealed a good quality of life update for players who want to see parts. Elite Skins that could not be customized before will soon adapt to match with other clothing.
