The skins of the new Battle Pass from Rainbow Six: Siege are currently causing a lot of resentment in the community: Since the skins published in the game do not look like the costumes advertised in advance, they are causing a real shit storm on Reddit.
"We are waiting for an apology"
Before the release, Ubisoft released some artwork that the community should prepare for the Battle Pass content. As can be seen in a comparison on Reddit by the user StatisticallyMeh, there are some unsightly differences between the actual skins and the advertising:
The skins taken over in the game seem much less creative than advertised: In fact, it's more of a recolored version of existing skins. The fans were also particularly angry because Ubisoft made a new skins available via Twitch Prime in advance – this seemed much more complex and closer to the prototype, which makes the condition of the now released skins all the more incomprehensible.
The community sees this as wrong application and now apologizes to the developers. Ubisoft has not yet commented on this, but they will not be able to avoid such a backlash from the players.
What does the Battle Pass look like?
The Battle Pass started on March 25 and is expected to continue until April 22. Typically, players can rank up by playing and completing certain challenges and unlocking new, exclusive rewards.
Depending on your preference, you can buy the Battle Pass with in-game currency or go for a free version, but payers can get a much larger selection of equipment.
Most recently, Ubisoft has had criticism for its skins for Rainbow Six put up with. It was about a pizza skin that reminded players too much of Fortnite.
