Game news Rainbow Six Siege brings out heavy artillery for its new expansion
Since its launch in 2015, Rainbow Six Siege has had the right to a lot of new content to constantly reinvigorate players’ desire to explore this multiplayer FPS. Today the title reveals the content of the first season of the seventh year.
A new agent and an additional map
The excellent Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is gearing up for a new year, and to celebrate it the way it should be, the multiplayer FPS from Ubisoft (which also had the rights to a spin-off called Extraction) offers one new season on. The latter, titled Demon Veil, is already available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S and offers players the chance to discover a brand new game mode, Team Deathmatch mode, a new map and a new character to discover : Azami.
Of course, it’s this agent Azami that we’re particularly interested in today, since he’s once again confusing the players’ strategies. As a matter of fact, Azami comes with a new gadget that lets you create walls instantly.
The Kiba Barrier is a modified kunai that sticks to surfaces when thrown, generating matter that diffuses and transforms into an armored barrier to fill gaps in walls and floors, giving it a more mobile and versatile approach to defense. Ubisoft
Good news then, this new agent is also accompanied by a brand new map, which hasn’t happened in over three years. Named Emerald Plains, this map offers players the opportunity to take part in battles in the remote regions of Ireland. Unlike Azami, the map isn’t available yet, but will be released soon.
