Rainbow Six: Siege may one day be completely free.
Rainbow Six: Siege Developer Ubisoft has no objection to making the game available for free one day.
Game director Leroy Athanassoff told PC Gamer that the team is thinking about the idea but needs to figure out a few things first.
"You need to have some features in order to be a great and successful free game," Athanassoff said. Bluetooth is a problem that the team needs to solve before they can play for free.
When veterans create new accounts against low-level, inexperienced players, blue chips are what players say. Because the game takes some time to determine the player's skills, the winners and losers will get some low-stress games in which they can dominate the novices, which is the main experience they cannot get.
This is already a major problem in Siege, and you can imagine that if you can create a new account without spending any money, 猖 ramp bluetooth will appear.
Ubisoft also sees this as a problem, and developers think the solution lies in creating a system that can track player skills and quickly assign them the appropriate rankings. Part of this is not just observing the winning statistics of suspicious players.
"It's important for us to find out as soon as possible that players are superb in important matters. The problem now is that when you are a diamond player, you can play a certain number of matches with Copper players." Athanassoff explained .
Ultimately, however, the decision to play for free depends on the publisher.
"This is the company's decision. I think we sometimes need to do this in the development team. We want everyone to be able to use this game." He added.
Even if it's not a free game, Siege still breaks records for four consecutive years. Ubisoft has shared content plans for this year and next.
