As explained in the explanatory video above, each of the first four qualifiers will operate according to the Swiss system and issue a total of seven tickets for the final round. The principle is simple: At the end of each qualification, the teams are awarded points (between 10 and 100) according to their final score. These points are accumulated from one qualifier to another and at the end of the fourth qualifier the top seven teams get their places for the group stage. Finally, a Last Chance Qualifier will take place in mid-December, still in the Swiss system and with the same point system, and qualify an Ultimate Team!
In January, the eight winning teams in the group stage will be divided into two groups of four. They will all face each other once in Bo3. Once these games have been played, the last teams in each pool are eliminated. That leaves six teams that will join the final phase! The first two go straight to the semi-finals, the other four to the quarter-finals.
