Razer just can’t help it and keeps pushing the superlatives with the in-house input devices. The latest work is the Razer Viper V2 Pro, which is not only ultra-light, but also comes with a new sensor.
With the Viper V2 Pro, Razer has announced another update to the successful gaming mouse series. A further reduction in weight and an even higher sampling rate were priorities during development.
Thanks to further optimizations to the case and inner workings, the weight could be reduced again and is now a slim 58 grams – 20 percent less than the predecessor Viper Ultimate.
Apart from that, the Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor is a new sensor that wants to score with a whopping 30,000 DPI – so far the maximum values were mostly 16-18,000 DPI. Thanks to AI-supported features such as Smart Tracking, Motion Sync and Asymmetric Cut-off, the Viper V2 Pro should offer even more precision.
Something has also happened with the switches, because Razer is sending its in-house optical mouse switches into the third generation with a durability of up to 90 million clicks. The Viper V2 Pro is charged via USB-C cable and operated wirelessly with a HyperSpeed USB dongle with no noticeable latency.
The Razer Viper V2 Pro is available now, but you have to dig deep into the budget pig, the good piece costs a whopping 159.99 dollars.
