On August 2, 2024, the director’s cut of Rebel Moon by Snack Synder will be released on Netflix. This includes the two previously released chapters, but in an R-rated version. The running time is expected to be a good six hours and, due to the higher age rating, will contain more sex and violence. The trailer at least fulfills this promise, as the CGI blood flows quite a bit and is reminiscent of Snyder’s 300. While the previous versions of the two films were only partially convincing, the director promises “almost a completely different film.”
