Many of you will have already heard of the app Shazam. This allows you to recognize songs that are playing in your area. The music streaming service Deezer also offers this function, but integrated directly into the Deezer app. This is not only practical, but also offers you other options.
SongCatcher, what is that?
The SongCatcher is a practical feature from Deezer. This allows you to recognize songs from your surroundings, similar to Shazam. But that’s not all: You can also share recognized titles, save them or add them to a playlist.
So if you hear a song on the radio that you like, you can easily open the Deezer app and use the SongCatcher. We’ll show you exactly how to do this in the following steps.

If you choose “Sing now” in step 3, you can sing or hum a melody yourself. However, it is an advantage if you have a certain musical talent. If you hit the notes, then the SongCatcher is actually able to recognize songs.
Not every person will have the best singing voice. This doesn’t have to be perfect, but it is still important to sing or hum the melody or song correctly. However, you only have to sing or hum if you want to find out a song name, the song is not currently playing and you can’t think of the name on your own.
