Everything was easier in the Wild West. Did someone jostle you in the saloon? Time for a duel. Has anyone stared at your girl stupidly? In front of the door for a duel. Isn't the city big enough for both of us? Duel. And no, those disputes weren't in one game Yu-Gi-Oh! carried out, but with plenty of revolvers, gunpowder and lead.
So also in Red Dead Redemption 2 and its multiplayer mode Red Dead Online. Since the latter are mainly human players, there is no shortage of disagreements and arguments – just like in GTA Online.
Red Dead online players organize duels according to their own rules
However, Rockstar Games does not currently provide the option to challenge other players to duels and settle disputes as soon as 12 noon. However, the fans of Red Dead Online know how to help themselves and are now simply organizing the showdowns for the High Noon themselves. And one thing above all counts: honor.
For example, players on Reddit report that they have been challenged to a duel more and more recently – or that they are challenging other outlaws themselves to a duel. The regulate for the course of a duel are simple, but all the more important:
- Three players are required: Two duelists and one referee. The duelists face each other, the referee between the two duelists and signals the start of the duel with a shot in the air.
- Dead Eye is prohibited: Anyone who uses Dead Eye in a duel is said to be dishonorable and, if in doubt, disqualified … which inevitably means that the referee shoots the dishonorable player.
- It is only shot from the hip: In a duel, firing from the hip is not permitted. Although this makes it more difficult to hit the opponent, the whole argument is all the more exciting.
