From July 13th, “Blood Money” in Red Dead Online will again provide plenty of supplies and transport you into the criminal underworld of the online western epic. There you can go to work for some of the most notorious members of Saint Denis society and get your hands dirty.
Rumors circulate in the alleys of Lemoyne’s capital that Guido Martelli – the right-hand man and underboss of the infamous Angelo Bronte – is looking for gunslingers in good physical shape. Martelli wants to regain possession of a valuable commodity called Capitale. Capitale was originally invented as a unique exchange system to devote itself to more sensitive business while avoiding the watchful eyes of the tax collector. But in the meantime it has also got into the hands of almost all shady characters in the five states. Now Bronte and Martelli want to get it back – if you can find it and deliver it, Martelli will reward you with worthwhile criminal opportunities.
In order to find capitals, you have to go to contacts to collect relevant information. This allows you to tap into the new type of income “crime”, which then ranges from carriage robberies to multi-part raids – kidnappings included. “Crimes” can be tackled solo or with a squad; When completing the missions, you have to keep an eye out for the clues to capitals, which can be found in hidden boxes or in mortal remains, for example.
If you accumulate enough capital, then you get access to so-called “opportunities”. These are given by Martelli to stop the aspiring Senator from Lemoyne. Each of these opportunities opens up new approaches: you can eavesdrop on conversations, look out for goals, and more. The first opportunity starts on July 13th, with two more to follow at a later date.
Other innovations: With the Quick Draw Club, there will be a series of four fast-firing passes that will take off in the coming months. Membership brings you exclusive rewards, bonuses and items. Each pass costs 25 gold bars, which you can get back via the 25 ranks of the pass. As an additional bonus, buyers of all four passes will receive the upcoming Halloween Pass # 2 for free.
There will also be new clothes via Outlaw Passes # 2 and # 3; in addition, the most desired items of clothing from earlier days return here. From a technical point of view, the update on July 13th also adds support for NVIDIA DLSS to the PC. This gives you an improved frame rate and higher quality images.
