After numerous rumors, it’s finally official: Red Dead Redemption is coming to PC soon! The western classic receives a number of optimizations.
Over the past few months, there have been plenty of hints and speculations in the rumor mill about a PC implementation of the Western classic Red Dead Redemption – but we had to wait until now for an official announcement. That changed today, Tuesday, because Rockstar Games has now nailed it.
Accordingly, Red Dead Redemption is actually coming to the PC – and quite soon. The implementation should finally be available on October 29, 2024, in line with Halloween and directly with the zombie horror story expansion “Undead Nightmare”.
The PC version was brought to life in cooperation with Double Eleven, who have given the classic, originally published in 2010, all sorts of platform-specific improvements. This includes native support for 4K and higher resolutions with up to 144 Hz – provided supported hardware.
There is also support for 21:9 ultrawide and 32:9 super ultrawide monitors, mouse and keyboard support, support for the upscaling technologies NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0, NVIDIA DLSS frame generation, a increased visibility, adjustment options for shadow quality and more.
The release will take place on Steam as well as in the Epic Games Store and in the Rockstar Store.
