On May 2, 2023, Redfall is the first new title from Bethesda to cause a sensation, before the sci-fi epic Starfield will follow later in the year. The vampire shooter also has a single player mode, but in this one you’ll have to be aware of a rather annoying condition.
If you just want to enjoy the upcoming vampire shooter Redfall in single player, you still have to be prepared to need an active internet connection. This is now clear from a corresponding entry on the official FAQ page for the action game.
It now states that the game will require a “persistent internet connection” at all times. So you’ll have to be online all the time, regardless of whether you’re playing with friends or alone in single-player mode. Being able to enjoy Redfall offline in any form will not be possible.
Single-player modes don’t generally need to exchange important data between client and server, but such a method has proven to be quite effective in making life difficult for hackers in the past. Such a model is also popular in the fight against software piracy. However, Bethesda has not confirmed whether this is the specific background in the case of Redfall.
The promising vampire shooter was recently presented in more detail at Developer_Direct by Microsoft and Bethesda and given a release date. The game will be released on May 2, 2023 for PC and Xbox Series X/S and offers a co-op mode in addition to the single player; However, the latter will also only be available online and not in split-screen.
