It has been revealed that first-person vampire shooter Redfall will only launch in Quality Mode on Xbox consoles. This means that those who access Bethesda-published games via Xbox will be capped at 30FPS.

Bethesda also shared that “60FPS performance mode will be added via game updates at a later date,” but didn’t elaborate on when Xbox players can expect to play Redfall at 60FPS.

This is far from the only frustrated outcry Redfall has received recently. Just a few weeks ago, the Redfall FAQ revealed that all players—even those in single player—must be online at all times to play. That said, game director Harvey Smith did say in an interview with Eurogamer that the team is currently working on making offline single-player possible.
In terms of progression, the person hosting your multiplayer game will be able to advance their story. Also, any players who join the Overlord will not progress. You need to work through this story together consistently, or you’ll face double the ordeal. The tweet below is from an article by Polygon.
If you’re a fan of performance, buying Redfall on PC looks like your best bet, unless you don’t mind playing at 30FPS.
