The Chinese electronics manufacturer Redmagic has been quite successful with its brand in the gaming smartphone sector. The company currently offers two smartphones for customers who want to use their smartphone not only for making calls and using social media, but also for gaming: the Redmagic 9S Pro and the Redmagic 9 Pro. It is not easy to spot the differences between the two smartphones. We will show you how the two smartphones differ.
Size
The Redmagic 9S Pro and 9 Pro are completely identical in size. Both smartphones measure 164 millimeters high, 76.4 millimeters wide and 8.9 millimeters thick. The weight of both smartphones is also the same: both the 9S Pro and the 9 Pro weigh an impressive 229 grams.

Display
There are no differences between the two devices in terms of the display. Both devices have a 6.8-inch AMOLED d isplay with a resolution of 2,480 x 1,116 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hertz. Both devices can display up to a billion colors with their screens and have a pixel density of around 400 ppi.
Processor and memory
The only difference between the two Redmagic smartphones is the processor and is only marginally significant. Both devices are equipped with the fastest Android smartphone processor currently on the market – the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The chip is manufactured using the 4nm process. However, the processor installed in the Redmagic 9S Pro is the slightly more efficient leading version of the chip, which has the serial number SM8650-AB.
There is almost no performance advantage here – the difference is very small. There are no differences in terms of memory. Both devices are available with 12 to 16 gigabytes of RAM and 256 to 512 GB of UFS storage. In both cases, this is the fastest UFS 4.0 storage.
Battery and charging
Differences in battery and charging? None. Both smartphones come with a 6,500 milliampere hour battery that can be recharged with 80 watts using a corresponding charger. Wireless charging is not possible with either smartphone.
Camera
The Redmagic 9S Pro and 9 Pro are also completely identical devices when it comes to the camera. The manufacturer has installed a main camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels, an ultra-wide-angle camera with the same resolution and a depth sensor with a resolution of two megapixels in both smartphones. The front camera is hidden under the display on both devices and has a resolution of 16 megapixels. Videos are possible at a maximum of 8K at 30 fps or 4K at 60 fps.
