WoW Classic: The Burning Crusade – First trailer for the upcoming addon
All information about the pre-patch
Release-Datum: Your journey to Outland doesn’t actually start with the release of the new add-on, but two weeks earlier, on May 18th. From this date the pre-expansion patch will appear on the Classic Live servers. At this point you can also create a blood elf or draenei, which you can play up to level 60 from there.
The agony of choice: So if you intend to play one of the two new races in the first expansion, you should start leveling in the pre-patch. You also have to make a decision: Do you want to go to Outland with your character, do you want to leave your character on a Classic Era realm and continue to play WoW Classic without Burning Crusade or do you want to play yours Clone characterto be able to play both versions.
The dark portal opens: In contrast to later pre-patch events, the spectacle surrounding the dark portal in 2007 was quite manageable. Only a few of Kruul’s swarms of demons penetrated through the dark portal to Azeroth and were seen in various areas such as the Hinterlands, Winterspring or the Eastern Plaguelands and you were able to complete the quest “Jump into the breach” to lock.
It is unclear whether you will be able to experience the same event again. In Blizzard’s official announcement mail there is no information about a corresponding pre-event.

Here’s what awaits you in Outland: In addition to the new races, which you can already play from the pre-patch, the maximum level will increase from level 60 to level 70. This means that you can dive straight into the Outland with your already high-level character. In addition to new areas, new dungeons, raids and more await you in this. Also new is that from level 70 you can buy a flight mount with the necessary pocket gold with which you can swing yourself into the air.
Alternatively, you can start with a new character and catapult him to level 58 with a level boost. This allows you to travel directly to Outland with him. But you have to buy the level boost.
