After eight beta versions, the wait is over for you! iOS 16 will probably be available for download from Apple tonight. As every year, there are older iPhones that will not receive the update.
iPhone 8 (Plus) users can still download the update without any problems, even if not all features are available for this model, but more on that later. Unfortunately, owners of older smartphones from Apple have to do without the latest update and be satisfied with the previous iOS 15 version.

What time can you update to iOS 16?
Due to the large number of updates in recent years, it is easy to determine when the update to iOS 16 will be available. Apple often releases the update to the public in the morning at California time. The reason for this is that Apple can still react promptly in the event of problems. Let’s follow the pattern of the last updates, the manufacturer should start distribution around 7 p.m. Europe time.

6 features worth checking out in iOS 16
The new version of the operating system from Apple finally gets a number of updates that many fans have long wished for. First and foremost, the customizable lock screen is finally making its way into the iPhone – with an iconic wallpaper.
Customize iOS 16 lock screen

Yes, you read that right: after the Playstation and Xbox controllers, the Joy-Cons from Nintendo can now also be connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth.
