V Rising, a vampire survival game from Stunlock Studios, launched in Early Access this May. Not only did this indie gem sell over 500,000 in its first three days, it eventually surpassed 1 million in just one week.
That being said, the initial excitement about the game will definitely fade over time, but V Rising is still played by thousands of people every day (according to SteamDB). So while Vampire’s Life isn’t for the hundreds of thousands of people who bought the game in the first place, there’s no denying it has a level of vampire charm that fascinates some players.
If you’ve never tried V Rising for yourself, now is a better time than ever.Just in time for Halloween, V Rising is free to play on Steam October 28 to November 1. A huge open-world RPG that lets you build your empire, avoid the sun and find blood, and if you don’t mind short-lived success, you’ll probably find something to like in V Rising.
In addition to the game’s free weekend, Stunlock Studios has released a major update for V Rising that takes care of your usual bugs and other necessary fixes, but the update will also introduce brand new Mad Hunt presets to the servers. The Wild Hunt preset changes server settings and ultimately randomizes V-Blood locations on the map, V-Blood spell unlocks, and V-Blood tech. Of course, Stunlock makes sure that certain limitations exist so that players can get all the tech they need at some point.
Last but not least, all players of V Rising will be able to get a free Halloween-themed DLC pack called the Haunted Knights Castle Pack; this is available from October 24th to November 7th, so you have some Time to complete each task and get each item.
