The mod is “Pacifica Typhoon – Dogtown’s Hidden Gems” and is the latest from modder Darkcopse, who has previously given people the chance to hack all the vending machines and arcade machines in Night City, because why not, right? Bar? This time around, they’re trying to create “an immersive way to find nearly all of the 46 hidden gems, sweet spots, cybernetics, and iconic weapons in the Phantom Liberty DLC.”
Basically, Pacifica Typhoon is a Dogtown-centric version of their popular Missing Persons – The Restorer’s Hidden Gems, which did the same thing for Night City in the base game. The new missions you’ll get look like quick little quests, mostly designed to point you in the right direction, with some adjustable rewards and some cyberpunk lore to go with each secret you uncover through the missions.
They were handed out by Ronald PT Malone, the unforgettable junk dealer you might remember from trying to contact Solomon Reed in the DLC’s main quest Encounter, once you complete the last mission, his store offers a few special bonus mods for the gig.
While Darkcopse says it will work best in the new Phantom Liberty game, the mod is also designed to account for the fact that you may have discovered some of the secrets involved in its missions, meaning it should still work with existing of preservation. You can also use NexusGuy999’s “Native Settings UI” to adjust many elements, such as cash and XP bonuses for gigs.
