Another week, a bunch of new PC games: This time there are many exciting releases, regardless of whether you feel like role-playing, strategy, simulations or action. We present the two big highlights to you directly, below you will find our list with the most important new releases and interesting insider tips.
Highlight # 1 of the week: Naraka: Bladepoint

Naraka Bladepoint: Sword Fighting Battle Royale gameplay trailer
Genre: Action | Release: 12.August 2021 | Platform: PC | Developer: 24 Entertainment
For Honor mixed with Overwatch and Sekiro, packed in a Middle Ages Far East setting – Naraka: Bladepoint is a rather unusual Battle Royale from China. Up to 60 players fight each other on a map, find better equipment and flee from the ever-narrowing map borders.
You choose a ready-made hero (assassin, guardian, monk and so on), but are then allowed to customize the appearance of your character yourself. That promises a lot of visual variety, even if several players choose the same class. Each character has their own special skills, but of course they can also slice their way through opponents with blades. If you don’t feel like close combat duels, you can use a crossbow or a bow. Or you change your tactics depending on the match situation.
Naraka: Bladepoint is clearly the most anticipated game of the week if you look at the numbers on SteamDB. Already in the demo more than 180,000 players rushed into the battle, the pre-orders even ensured a place in the Steam sales charts. Elena explains in her analysis why there are still good reasons to approach the game with a little caution:

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: First Gameplay for the Siege of Paris DLC
Genre: Action-Adventure | Release: 12. August 2021 | Platform: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S | Developer: Ubisoft Montreal
The final DLC in the first Season Pass for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be released on August 12th and will send you to war against the mighty Frankish king Karl the Fat. Eivor and the loyal Viking crew cross to what is now France, where the Danes are besieging the capital Pairs.
A mix of familiar and new products awaits you in a playful way. For example, as in Wrath of the Druids, you explore a whole new map, complete quests, fight against the king’s troops and collect a lot of stuff. Since the Sigrblot Festival, you can also swing the new one-handed swords.
If you don’t have the Season Pass, you can buy the Siege of Paris individually. All known information about the expansion can be found here in our DLC overview:
