report How are in-engine video game trailers made?
Before being released, every video game has to go through a long communication process that is sometimes difficult to establish. What should you show the players? When should it be shown? Finding the happy medium of getting people to want something without showing too much is not easy. The trailer remains an indispensable advertising medium, both in the world of cinema, series and video games. Demonstrative, puzzling, balanced, energetic, every trailer fulfills a function, whether with the game engine or in CGI.
Today we’re going back to the “in-engine” trailers to understand what issues editors face, what stages they were created at, and what tools were used. Accompanied by Focus Home Interactive, we have dealt with all of this as the French company kindly opened its doors for us to answer all of our questions.
Good visibility and we look forward to seeing you tomorrow at 9am for the second report devoted to CGI trailers.
