A recently released report called "Light of Death 2" "a mess."
The Polski Gamedev report cited anonymous sources and described the poor development and management of the game, despite Techland ’s objections.
Translations have been widely shared on social media, but certain points in the translation are obviously inaccurate. Here is what Ola Sondej, senior public relations manager, said:
In this regard, the translation of Techland articles is completely inaccurate.

Sondej continued: "Although I am drawing your attention, the development of Dying Light 2 is moving forward, and the state of the game (in good condition) is very good, so please don't worry. It's coming."
We contacted our friends in Eurogamer Poland to see if they could help translate some key details.
This is what the anonymous source claims:
"It's really a mess. The direction of the story, the direction of the game, the changing game base. The morale is low because they (the management) don't know what they are doing.
"The chaos at the highest level is very sad. It is not clear what the game should look like. One year before the release, other teams were worried about fixing the error. We don't even have a vertical cut!"
The vertical clip is a playable part of the game, showing various aspects of the title. This is an important milestone. Krzysztof Sazon, the head of social media, said the game does have a vertical meaning. In fact, "Ding Light 2" can obviously be played from start to finish.
"This is not true. The game is playable from start to finish. A month ago, we completed the alpha milestone mentioned in this article, which is important for the project. I have been playing and I am very excited!
"Since production, the main design pillars of" Ding Light 2 "have not changed. Naturally, various aspects of any game will evolve during development. There are many reasons for this, such as optimizing or improving and expanding the most promising elements.
Game development is not a straightforward process. It requires a lot of iterations to test various concepts and adjust them. The DL2 development process has not always been smooth-almost never for any game-and we need to solve many challenges to achieve our ambitious vision. We are working hard to prepare the game for you. "
Although we cannot be sure of any criticism of Avellone, the translation shared on social media also claims that writer Chris Avellone is a factor in these issues. However, the man himself quoted a sentence:
"I like working on Dying Light 2 and working on Techland. Of course, we will discuss every element of the project and change it every iteration … but this is a normal part of the creation process. The story is" Dying " The key elements of Light 2. For me and the team, the ending is very important.
The public relations manager Sondej sent the following statement to VG247:
"At Techland, we work as a team, and we grow as a team. We are proud that many employees choose to stay with us for many years. The articles mentioned contain various opinions-from our employees and anonymous sources.
"Each opinion is important to us, so we are now carefully analyzing all the topics proposed. About Dying Light 2-According to our internal schedule, development is moving forward, and we revised it at the beginning of this year."
Sondej also resolved the rumors that Techland was acquired by Microsoft:
If you want to know, Techland was not acquired by another publisher. We are still an independent studio and will provide Ding Light 2 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Dying Light 2 was postponed indefinitely at the beginning of this year, and plans to become a multi-generation game.
