Compared to Resident Evil 2's remake, Resident Evil 3's remake will have more freedom in characters and stories.

Capcom revealed Resident Evil 3 Compared to the original version, we will make changes in many ways this year.

This is not surprising in itself; of course, Resident Evil 2 Remake introduces its own new story, fleshing out previously ignored characters. In the latest issue of "Official PlayStation Magazine" (Issue 171), Capcom revealed some tidbits about remakes.

Reddit user wolfiepl collected some compelling details from the magazine's cover story.

One of the roles that should be in the game is Carlos Oliveira, who will play a larger role in the game story. Capcom didn't give much introduction to Carlos's game part, but said that he would not be the only character in the original work to get a significant narrative improvement.

Speaking of upgrades, the AI logic that controls Mr. X in Resident Evil 2 Remastered has been improved and it is now responsible for controlling Nemsis. To get the right scale, Capcom created a full-size model of Nemesis and scanned it into the game. With that in mind, Capcom said Nemesis will behave differently from Tyrant.

Again, this time sound design will be a bigger element of gameplay. Due to some of the more open positions in the game, you need to rely on sound to avoid zombies.

As far as the story goes, don't expect more endings, although it will be reimagined. This should proceed like narrative in modern linear games.

The cover story also shows that mercenaries-arcade-style, action-centric reward models-won't return, and Capcom relies on Resident Evil to fill that gap.

Resident Evil 3 will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on April 3.
