Resident Evil 3 shipments and digital sales reach 2 million copies

The sales of Resident Evil 3 started well.

Capcom announced today Resident Evil 3 Two million copies have been sent globally on all platforms, of which nearly 50% are fully digital sales. Essentially, about one million of these are sold to consumers, while the rest are sold to retailers.

These numbers were reached only five days after the game was released. In contrast, "Resident Evil 2" sold 3 million copies in the first week of release, and now has more than 6.5 million copies.

Indeed, the performance of these two games is reflected in their Steam number, of which "Resident Evil 3" lags behind "Resident Evil 2" in the number of concurrent peak players.
