Resident Evil 4 remake is panicking the counters. Never before has a licensed game brought together so many players simultaneously on Steam.
The reissue of Resident Evil 4 out today on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Players can find Leon S. Kennedy 18 years after discovering the young man’s adventure in Europe. Suffice it to say that this new version should confuse even those who are well versed Resident Evil 4. Visually, this remake is impressive. Its gameplay is inspired by Resident Evil 2
Leon S. Kennedy more popular than Ethan Winters
As of this writing, the concurrent player peak is from Resident Evil 4 is on Steam 137,357, according to SteamDB. An impressive achievement that surpasses that of Resident Evil Village. Since its release in May 2021, the opus starring Ethan Winters hasn’t fared any better than 106,631 at the same time on the day of the market launch. A very honorable figure, certainly, but quite a long way back Resident Evil 4. The two previous license remakes, Resident Evil 2 etc 3brought together a maximum of 74,226 and 60,293 players respectively. Resident Evil 4 Remake still remain very far fromHogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Legacy in this category. Developed by Avalanche, the game managed the feat of bringing together 879,308 people simultaneously on Steam. Capcom can still be happy Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 4’s first DLC is already dated!
Resident Evil 4 could keep a high player average in the coming weeks. Not that the game offers gigantic content in its current form, but its next DLC could give RE 4 good longevity. The Separate Ways mode, which lets you impersonate Ada Wong, should make its way here at some point. Gamers are still waiting for Capcom to officially announce this. Mercenaries mode already has a release date. It will be released on April 7th on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series as free DLC. Enough to prolong the pleasure for a few hours.
