So far, the DLC “Separate Ways” for the remake of Resident Evil 4 has not yet been officially confirmed, but there are already hints in the game files. If there is a reliable leaker, we won’t have to wait too long for the additional content.
Even if Capcom is still stingy with an official announcement, the probability is quite high that the DLC “Separate Ways” for the successfully launched Resident Evil 4 Remake will also appear. Now a Resident Evil leaker who has been quite reliable in the past has spoken up and suggests that the waiting time until the release should not be too long.
What is meant is the popular leaker Dusk Golem, who spoke up via Twitter. Accordingly, “Separate Ways” will not be as long in coming as DLC for Resident Evil 8 before. The eighth installment in the horror series was released in May 2021 and fans then had to wait over a year until the end of 2022 to get their hands on fresh content via DLC.
The reason for this long waiting time is said to have been the fact that the development team actually only started working on the DLC after the release of the main game and therefore needed a long time. If you believe the words of the leaker, then in the case of Resident Evil 4 Remake, the developers would have started working on “Separate Ways” a few days ago before the main game was released – even if it was only a small team at first you still prioritized the main game logically. After the release, however, this team was noticeably increased – and that’s why “Separate Ways” shouldn’t be too long in coming.
Accordingly, Dusk Golem goes on to say that the additional content for Resident Evil 4 Remake should be released in the current year 2023 – at least “as long as no unforeseen development hurdles” arise.
In DLC, also known as “Another Order”, you take on the role of Ada Wong and accompany her on her journey through the events of Resident Evil 4.
