In a survey, Capcom is interested in the circumstances under which fans would buy another remake. Only a few candidates are considered.
The remake of Resident Evil 3 is not yet a week old, when Capcom is already asking fans about the interest in the future of the horror series. And it looks like the topic of "new editions" is not yet off the table for the developer. In an official survey, which is primarily aimed at the Asian market, two exciting questions are particularly noticeable. These are "If a new remake of the Resident Evil series appeared, would you buy it?" and "If a Sequel from the Resident Evil series appeared, would you buy it?"
Although it is not specified which titles Capcom would like to reissue, the other candidates for whom a complete revision would make sense are manageable. Above all, Resident Evil: Code Veronica, which continues the story after Resident Evil 2 rather than Part 3. A revision of Resident Evil 4 would also be conceivable. However, since this part was a turning point within the series and a much more modern show, a remake of 4 seems less likely. In addition, this part was only recently released for current consoles with a higher resolution and frame rate.
