Netflix will also bring an implementation of Resident Evil to the streaming service. There was now quite relevant news, because you will be able to look forward to well-known speakers.
Netflix had good news for all Resident Evil fans. In the upcoming anime adaptation “Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness”, which should start in the course of 2021, you will therefore hear well-known voices.
Companies have now announced via Twitter that two main roles will be spoken by their voice actors in the game counterpart. Accordingly, Nick Apostolides is available again for his role as Leon S. Kennedy. In addition, Stephanie Panisello will speak again to Claire Redfield, as the two had already done in the remake of Resident Evil 2.
A few bits of information were also made public about the plot of the Netflix series. In 2006, indications of illegal access to the President’s secret files in the White House had emerged. Federal Agent Leon S. Kenney is therefore invited to the White House within a group to investigate the incident. But then suddenly the lights go out and Leon and the SWAT team present are exposed to a horde of mysterious zombies.
Claire Redfield, as a member of TerraSave, is confronted with a mysterious picture that was painted by a young person in a country she had visited. As she continues to pursue this painting, which obviously shows the victim of a viral infection, she makes her own investigation. The next morning she visits the White House for other reasons and is reunited with Leon. She shows him the picture and Leon sees a connection between the zombie outbreak in the White House and the painting. While he denies this connection to Claire, there are two other zombie outbreaks in distant lands – and these ultimately lead to the events that shake the nation to its foundations.
“Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness” does not yet have an exact start date on Netflix; the show was announced in September last year via teaser clip. In addition to the anime, a live-action series is also in the works on Netflix; a new film is slated to hit theaters later in 2021.
