The multiplayer component RE: Verse was supposed to be available right at the start of Resident Evil Village, but as is known, nothing came of it. Worse still, the release has now been delayed even further!
Anyone who is longingly waiting for the release of the multiplayer part of Resident Evil Village called RE: Verse must now be brave! After nothing came of the originally planned release together with the main game, Capcom has now officially confirmed another postponement.
A statement now states that the additional development time is intended to ensure that the team “can continue to work on delivering a smooth gaming experience”. As a result, RE: Verse will no longer be published this year, but will only come onto the market sometime in the new year 2022. At first, no more concrete information was given; this is to follow at a later date. The waiting time will be at least another six months.
If you have purchased the full version of Resident Evil Village, Capcom recommends adding the corresponding download code for RE: Verse to your own account so that you can start right away when the multiplayer spin-off appears next year.
In RE: Verse, six players compete against each other in deathmatches. They can mutate into various monsters of the long-standing horror franchise and thus gain advantages in combat. In addition to many monsters, other heroes and opponents such as Claire Redfield, Leon, Ada, Jill, Hunk or Chris are also involved.
