You will not play Resident Evil RE: Verse at the Village’s press conference next week.

In view of its similarities with the “Resident Evil Resistance”, another free multiplayer experiment provided with “Resident Evil 3”, we all believe that RE: Verse will be launched at the launch of Village. Obviously, this is not the case, because the fans learned in surprise this week.

As Resetera discovered, Capcom sent a marketing email about the game to Resident Evil Ambassador, explaining that the game will be available in the summer. Indeed, RE:Verse’s official website does indicate that it will come sometime this summer.

Capcom has been testing the multiplayer shooter internally and through the public beta and the invitation-only beta, the most recent time being last week. Everyone knows that everyone is ready to play it at the Village launch next week.

Nonetheless, we all have to wait until sometime this summer before we can start trying. On the other hand, “Resident Evil Village” will be launched on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Stadia on May 7.
