Not only the long-awaited Resident Evil 4 remake was announced at the State of Play and gets content for PSVR 2, but also the current part Resident Evil Village. You can find out what you can expect specifically for Sony’s VR headset here.
When it comes to Resident Evil, all eyes were certainly on the announcement of Resident Evil 4 Remake and content for PlayStation VR 2 last night, but Resident Evil Village was also a topic of discussion. The current part of the horror series, which was published about a year ago, also gets content for Sony’s upcoming virtual reality headset for the PS5.
Thanks to PlayStation VR 2, you should be able to expect an “even more up-close and personal experience”. For this purpose, Capcom is specifically implementing the story mode of the eighth part of the franchise for PSVR 2 on the PS5. The terrifying story of Ethan Winters is made even more immersive through the use of the new headset’s 4K HDR display, eye-tracking, 3D audio and other advanced features. The journey through Dimitrescu Castle and surrounding village is more immersive than ever in VR, then pulls you into a realistic world designed to feel practically tangible.
In addition, Resident Evil Village for PSVR 2 will also support the headset’s Sense technology and offer numerous new ways of interacting with the world. These controllers allow you to perform intuitive actions, such as raising your arms to protect yourself from enemy attacks. The VR campaign also introduces other new gameplay elements, including the ability for Ethan to fight with two weapons.
Capcom has not yet announced a release date for the PSVR 2 version of Resident Evil Village.
