Alternative: Recover deleted iOS files via iCloud
One moment of carelessness and important files on your iPhone or iPad are deleted. It gets even worse if there is no backup to restore the data. But there is no need to panic: if you are quick, you can get your lost files back within 30 days. If you miss this period, however, the files will be permanently deleted.
If files are deleted, you should act quickly
If you have accidentally deleted files on your iOS device or need them back for certain reasons, you should act within 30 days. During this period, the files can be restored from the “Recently Deleted” area. They will then appear again in their original storage location.

First, open the Files app and tap the “Browse” tab. Under “Storage Locations,” tap “Recently Deleted.” Tap the More button with the three dots and then “Select.” Select the files you want to get back and then tap “Restore.”

If you want to restore a single file, touch the file with your finger until the “Restore” field appears and then tap it.
You can also recover your deleted files on the iPad within 30 days. To do this, follow these steps:

First, open the Files app. In the sidebar, under “Locations,” tap “Recently Deleted.”

If you don’t see the sidebar, tap the “Show Sidebar” icon. Then tap “Select” and select the files you want to keep. Finally, tap “Restore.” On the iPad, you can also restore a single file by touching it and then tapping “Restore.”
You also have 30 days to restore files deleted from iCloud Drive via iCloud.com. It makes no difference whether you deleted them directly via iCloud or on another device on which you use iCloud Drive.
Alternative: Recover deleted iOS files via iCloud
To get back files deleted via iCloud Drive, click on “Recently Deleted” in the iCloud Drive sidebar. Now click on “Restore All”. Alternatively, you can select only certain files and then click “Restore”.
If you want to recover files that you deleted in other apps, click the app launcher button in the toolbar on iCloud.com. Then select “Data Recovery” and click “Restore Files”. Now select the files you want to restore or click “Select All” and then “Restore”.
