Retro Studios continues to hire staff for Metroid Prime 4

The development of Metroid Prime 4 is being more complicated than Nintendo expected. After its restart almost completely at the beginning of last year, Retro Studios began signing qualified personnel, while subcontracting different sections of the development. The last to reach the team was the director of Battlefield and Mirroir’s Edge, but I would not have been the only one since then.

Mark Capers, formerly at Playful, responsible for New Super Lucky’s Tale, and James Beech, a designer who has worked on games like Crysis 3 and DC Universe Online, would have joined Retro Studios, according to VGC. The thing is not there, because it would have also incorporated the main designer of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Stephen Dupree, and the character modeler of the Halo series, Kyle Hefley.

Capers and Beech will be responsible for the design of environments, while Retro Studios is still looking for staff to fill the positions of main animator, senior designer and many more, according to web job offers. For the moment the development status of Metroid Prime 4 is unknown, or if the team is working in parallel in some other project.
