Retro Studios worked on projects related to Zelda and Mario

Mario, projects, related, Retro, Studios, worked, Zelda

Retro Studios works at Metroid Prime 4, a restarted project, but years ago there would have been explored several canceled games including titles related to The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario.

Shinesparkers this rumor has been echoed with the artist's conceptual art Sammy Hall, a former pre-production artist from Retro Studios who participated in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Donkey Kong Country Returns. One of his works would belong to the preproduction of a "canceled Zelda project" starring Sheik that was running between 2005 and 2008. Supposedly this action RPG that never got past pre-production would be "ten times stranger" than the Zelda usual, starting from the bad end of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

The other game belongs to a "Boo canceled project" between 2006 and 2007, and although there are hardly any details, one of the illustrations mentions small laptop resolutions, which suggests it was intended for the Nintendo DS, the Nintendo laptop in those years.

Metroid Prime 4 still without a release date

Metroid Prime 4 It was announced in 2017 after many rumors. There was no mention of the creative team – it has been commented that it could be a Bandai Namco team – but I do know that it was not Retro Studios. A year ago and with no official footage shown, Nintendo announced that the original creators of Metroid Prime they restarted the project because it did not reach the level required by Nintendo for this saga. "We have decided that producer Kensuke Tanabe will work closely with the studio that developed the original Metroid Prime series: Retro Studios, and restart the development process," said Nintendo.

"This change effectively means starting development from scratch. So the end of the game will be delayed compared to what was planned"At the moment, it has no approximate release date.
