What rumors speak for an early release?
The well-known industry insider Jeff Grubb revealed in a podcast in February that he would expect an announcement from Microsoft in the next few weeks. Nothing came of the announcement, but many people are speculating that it may have something to do with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
In addition, Goldeneye 007 was removed from the list of media harmful to young people after 24 years. The ban was apparently for a specific request cancelled, suggesting that the game may soon be included in some form of Nintendo eShop. This is because any game intended to be sold on Nintendo’s European eShop must be released in Europey, since Nintendo’s European eShop is based here.
Last but not least, since October 2021, achievements have been appearing in the Xbox database from the player BIGsheep, who is said to be Rare employee Jamie Thomas. The player’s profile is via the website TrueAchievements visible to everyone.
