Riot Games announces that its biggest game will finally launch on Xbox Game Pass December 12.
Does this news sound familiar? Well, that’s probably because it is. Riot Games actually announced its partnership with Xbox Game Pass back in June, but it’s only now that we’re finally seeing the games available on the popular subscription service.
So, which titles from Riot Games’ catalog will be coming to Xbox Game Pass, and what freebies will come with each game? Here’s the gist.
Valor (PC)
Valorant is a tactical team shooter from Riot that I spend way too much time and money on.
For those who dive into the shooter with Xbox Game Pass, you’ll have immediate access to all current agents, day one access to every new agent released, and a 20% matchmaking XP boost with the Battle Pass, Event Pass, and Active Agents Contract progress.
League of Legends (PC)
League of Legends is one of the most popular MOBA games out there, with dozens of champions to choose from as two teams face off strategically.
Those who play through Xbox Game Pass will get access to all 160-plus champions, gain access to new champions on day one, and get a 20% XP boost.
League of Legends: Wild Rift (Mobile Game)
League of Legends: Wild Rift is essentially a League experience built for mobile.
With Xbox Game Pass, players will have access to all 80-plus champions, new champions on day one, and a 20% XP boost.
Teamfight Tactics (PC and Mobile)
League of Legends champions are brought to a new level with Teamfight Tactics, an automated combat strategy game where you must try to be the last man standing.
Starting in January, those who play with Xbox Game Pass will have access to all 80-plus champions, new champions on day one, and a 20% XP boost.
Legends of Runeterra (PC and Mobile)
For those of us who love card games, Legends of Runeterra also takes characters from League of Legends and puts them in this collectible card game.
With Xbox Game Pass, players will have access to all cards in the Foundations collection.
For those eager to get into the Riot catalog when it hits Xbox Game Pass next week, you’ll need to link your Riot account to your Xbox profile ahead of time, which can be done from the Xbox Social login page.
Additionally, limited-time rewards are available for those who link their Riot and Xbox accounts December 8, 2022 to January 1, 2023. The rewards are as follows:
- valuation – Pocket Sage Buddy
- League of Legends – Masterpiece chest and key
- League of Legends: Wild Rift – Random emoticon chest
- Legends of Runeterra – Prismatic box
- Teamfight Tactics – Tiny Legend Rare Egg
