Lidl and Aldi currently regularly have new e-bikes in their online shops. The offers are usually so good that the bikes sometimes sell out quickly. Anyone looking for a robust and inexpensive Pedelec could find it at Aldi from April 29th. Then the discounter has a so-called SUV bike for just 999 dollars.
SUV bikes are essentially crossover bikes – they are robust and can handle all terrains. In addition, like mountain bikes, they often have a suspension fork with a longer travel.
The Prophete Stack Sport has 29-inch tires, mudguards, pannier racks and an adjustable handlebar stem. The Suntour suspension fork offers a travel of 100 millimeters, so even rougher passages are no problem.
Motor performance and battery capacity in the middle range
The rear motor offers an assist force of 40 Newton meters. This is completely sufficient, especially for relatively flat regions, but can be a bit small on steep climbs. The battery capacity is in the middle range at 418 watt hours, which according to the manufacturer gives you a range of up to 120 kilometers.

Considering the price, the facilities are really good. Although the motor performance and battery size are only in the middle range, there is a solid suspension fork, Shimano gears and hydraulic disc brakes. If you’re not planning long tours in the mountains, you can safely take advantage of this offer.
