It’s that time again, Rocket League fans. Season 8 is just around the corner, launching on September 7 following a game update at 4pm PDT the day before.
This season will feature the Honda Civic Type R as the first real-life car in the seasonal battle pass, new arenas, return events, and of course, a new pass to keep players moving.
According to the Urban Dictionary, the Civic driver was “a generally white and slightly poor male who wore a flat-brimmed hat or beanie, had a tattoo, and had an ego larger than the federal deficit.” Seeing someone matching this description in the wild in the UK, this vehicle is the perfect addition to some part of the Rocket League community. Even better, this is the Type R version, which can only be a good thing. In-game, it has an Octane hitbox.
Those who buy the premium version of the new Battle Pass can get the car straight away, along with a chance to get a Honda Civic Type R-LE. As for the new arena, you’ll get the new Sovereign Heights Arena! Located in the heart of the bustling city, it complements the urban style of the new season.
Finally, you’ll have a vengeful Hallows comeback later in the season. There’s no word on exactly when it will drop, but given the subject material, it’s safe to say October is a good one.
