Dan Houser, one of the co-founders of Rockstar Games, is leaving the company after over 20 years. He was largely responsible for stories and texts by GTA, Red Dead and Co.
Rock star co-founder Dan Houser has been taking a break from his job for almost a year. Now the bedrock is leaving the studio for reasons unknown until now. Houser will begin his last day of work on March 11, 2020. In 1998 he founded the company together with his brother Sam. As a writer for the studio's greatest successes, including Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption and Bully, he was a fixture. Finally, he held the position of deputy creative chief. His brother Sam, on the other hand, will continue to work in the company.

With his socially critical narrative style, Dan Houser often hit the nerve of the times and not only helped the corresponding games, but also the company to achieve global success. It is not for nothing that Grand Theft Auto V developed into the most successful entertainment product in history. Rockstar raised over $ 6 billion only through this project.
Both brothers are publicly shy and live largely free of scandal. Shortly after the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, Dan was criticized for statements used to justify the crunch times during the game's development. They would have helped normalize the enormous burden in the industry of working under great pressure.
