The RTX 4070 Ti will be presented at CES on January 5th – and could mean a turnaround for die-hard graphics card fans.
While the cards of the RTX 4000 generation that have been released so far have caused an outcry from many fans because of their price, the RTX 4070 Ti should provide more forgiving voices. Because according to official presentation material from Nvidia, the card comes with a smaller price tag than under its previous designation as the RTX 4080 12 GB.
The information comes from Videocardz
RTX 4070 Ti gets $100 off
According to Nvidia, the MSRP of the new card will be $799. That would be $100 cheaper than last year when the nearly same card was supposed to appear as the RTX 4080 12GB for $899.
However, it must be noted at this point that Nvidia will not be selling its own Founder’s Edition of the RTX 4070 Ti. So you can’t buy a card for the fixed 799 US dollars or the resulting euro price in the Nvidia shop.
Instead, the card will only be available as a custom model from various board partners. The prices at which they sell their graphics cards can sometimes differ drastically from the RRP. So whether there will really be a model of the RTX 4070 Ti for 799 US dollars is still in the stars.
At least the first dealer prices on the net give little hope for affordable new hardware:

RTX 4070 Ti: The specs remain the same
Either way, the RTX 4070 Ti should be a more attractive proposition than the discarded RTX 4080 12GB. Because the specifications of both cards remain absolutely the same – as shown by an Nvidia website that has since been taken offline again.
According to this, the RTX 4070 Ti should offer over 7680 CUDA cores, a boost clock of up to 2.61 GHz, 12 GB of GDDR6X memory and a maximum supported resolution of 4K240Hz or 8K60Hz.
In addition to the raw data, the first benchmarks also reveal where the RTX 4070 Ti should be classified in terms of performance. In six leaked results from the 3DMark benchmark (via Videocardz) the card delivers a coherent picture and is always on a comparable level with the RTX 3090 Ti.
The results also roughly match an earlier leak on performance that we discussed earlier in our article How fast will the upcoming RTX 4070 Ti be? First benchmark leak surfaced
reported.
What do you all mean? Would a price of 799 US dollars or a corresponding euro price be acceptable or do the prices have to tumble further? And will there even be custom models at the RRP? Write us your opinion in the comments!
