Two desktop gaming PCs with the RTX 4090: performance at the highest level
The Sedatech Fixed Gaming PC, yes we already told you about it on JVTech. On the other hand, you were presented with a version with either an RTX 3070 or an RTX 3080. But now the new versions of this desktop gaming PC include better and even more powerful components like the latest graphics card from Nvidia (also the most powerful yet): the RTX 4090 24GB.
The two configurations that we propose to you are pretty much equivalent. You definitely have 32GB of RAM, DDR5 support, a 1TB NVMe SSD paired with a 3TB HDD.
Here we find the main difference, that on the one hand we have an Intel Core i9-12900KF 3.2 GHz processor (5.2 GHz in turbo) and on the other hand an AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 4.7 GHz processor (5.6 GHz in turbo) to have.
What should interest gamers most in these two desktop gaming PCs is Nvidia’s almighty RTX 4090 24GB graphics card, which we also got the chance to test at JVTech.
Our review of Nvidia’s RTX 4090 24GB
Points cont
- Stunning performance, even in 4K at over 120 fps
- DLSS 3.0 works wonders and is just the beginning
- Ray tracing finally usable in Ultra mode
- No hissing when not playing
- A map section for the next 10 years
weak points
- The price of course (not considered in the note)
- Consumption that increases (even if it doesn’t explode)
- Provide space (3 slots for this FE) and a good power supply
- Lovers of “cable management” will screw up their faces
With the RTX 4090, Nvidia has once again succeeded in pushing the limits of imagination even further. We knew that this extraordinary card would rhyme with excess and when we were promised a consumption that would have to heat a classroom in the middle of winter and change everything, including its power supply, finally with “only” 450W TGP and a power supply of 850 or 1000W we stay within the standards that make this card unreservedly recommendable. The in-game performance is simply amazing, DLSS 3.0 is still in its infancy and already promises us mountains and wonders. Unfortunately, its price, which has risen sharply compared to the previous generation, will target it towards a wealthy clientele or a few die-hard customers. The others will wait for the release of the RTX 4080 or even more safely the 4070 and 4060 when the stocks of the RTX 3000 are finally gone. But make no mistake, this RTX 4090 is absolutely amazing and we’re still a long way from realizing its full potential. If you buy it to play with, you can be sure that it will see you through the next 10 years in style.
