Epic Games had probably promised more. Rumleverese would become the next big brand from company and developer Iron Galaxy Studios. However, the dream has a quick end. The Brawler Royale will go offline after only half a year of live operation.
On August 11, 2022, publisher Epic Games and developer Iron Galaxy Studios (Killer Instinct, Wreckateer) threw a new fighter onto the battle royale market with Rumbleverse. However, the game did some things differently than its colleagues Fortnite, Apex Legends or PUBG. In the “Brawler Royale” is hearty cheek food on the program. The 40 players on the map are not given weapons, but fight back with their bare fists. A new concept for the genre. However, the daring was not crowned with success and so the studios are taking their consequences.

As announced by Epic Games and Iron Galaxy, the plug will be pulled shortly. After Season 2 is over, on February 28th, 2023 at 17:00 the Rumbleverse servers will go offline. Just half a year after the release. In the meantime, one last update has been installed. The developers give the reason, albeit not directly, that the game simply wasn’t successful enough. No wonder the battle royale genre has been highly competitive for years.
Should you have spent money in the free-to-play, the developers offer the possibility of a refund. This refers to the Rumbleverse Battle Pass or Brawlla Bills, regardless of the platform you purchased them on. An FAQ page will be online shortly. The shop has since been closed.
Until the shutdown, the XP gains will still be doubled, so you can rank up faster. The developers are streaming a few more times, and there are also special sessions where you can gamble with them.
