The new edition of Saints Row was released almost a year ago – and now there is fresh supplies in the form of a second large DLC package. This also brings with it an independent solo mode.

After previously releasing “The Heist and the Hazardous”, Deep Silver and Volition have now released the second DLC expansion for the current Saints Row with “Doc Ketchum’s Murder Circus”; a total of three such add-ons are planned at the moment, so you can also look forward to “A Song of Dust and Ice” next month in August.

Most importantly, today’s DLC introduces a standalone new Solo mode with Horde-style gameplay. There are four new playable characters, each with their own abilities. The additional content is part of the Season Pass.

Accompanying the DLC is a free update that introduces “New Birmingham Island” as a spooky circus version of the Boot Hill District. The revised area is available to all players. In addition, there is a new cheat app mode and even more improvements and bug fixes.

Today’s innovations once again in an official overview:

  • Doc Ketchum’s Murder Circus DLC for Expansion Pass owners is available now and can be purchased separately
  • The free Boot Hill update released in June is available to all players and includes:
    • A visual overhaul of the Boot Hill District with new things to explore
    • The new cheats app mode that includes 20 clean cheats and 18 dirty cheats
    • New cosmetics & items like the Ponytail and Doc’s Medicine Cart Horse
    • Quality of life improvements in missions, criminal ventures, side hustles, skills and more.
