During tonight’s Nintendo Direct, Samba de Amigo: Party Central was announced.
SEGA’s return to the rhythm-action series will feature a playlist featuring 40 hits from a variety of genres.
There will be a variety of mini-games and challenges, some really nice outfits and accessories to unlock, and it includes an online mode, one of which features an eight-player world party mode.
Originally released in arcades in 1999 and on the Dreamcast in 2000, a port for the Wii was developed by Gearbox Software and Escalation Studios and released in 2008.
In Samba de Amigo, you use a controller shaped like a maraca to match a series of patterns displayed on the screen. The original arcade game used a red maraca controller, but the Dreamcast version inserts maracas into a crossbar at the player’s feet. In the Wii version, Wii Remote and Nunchuk are used.
Released on Switch this summer.
