Samsung has given a four-year-old budget cell phone an up-to-date security patch. This closes numerous security gaps.
- Samsung is rolling out a current security update for the four-year-old Galaxy J3.
- The patch closes over 30 vulnerabilities from Google and 23 from Samsung.
- The update is not yet available in Germany.
The South Korean company Samsung distributes current security patches to older ones Cell phones. This is also the case with the now four-year-old Galaxy J3. The update closes some security holes and fixes many bugs in the operating system.
Like the tech blog SamMobile reported, users of the cell phone in Cambodia, Italy, Malaysia, Russia as well as Taiwan and Thailand can download and install the software.
The security update fixes over 30 Google vulnerabilities and 23 vulnerabilities in Samsung’s user interface. The underlying Android version will not be raised and will still stay on Android 9 Pie.
